Valentine's Day DIY Hearts Decoration

This Valentine's time of the year I'm not gonna celebrate it with any significant one. Sooo, I will cheer up myself by decorating my bedroom with little hearts. :)

This is super easy and fast, I gotta say that you can do it under 30 mins. All I used for this are from old decoration stuff and used paper. The money I spent for this, was cheaper than a cup of boba haha.

Okay so let's start!

1. All you need.
-Used paper, you can decide your own color scheme.
(I'm not a big fan of pink so I decided to have blue and brown to create a modern rustic feeling.)
-String, to attach the hearts
-Scissors (pen knife would be better)
-Ruller
-Stapler
-Christmas light (perfect timing to reuse it right!)

little secret : i got this blue paper from the inside part of an envelope!

2.  Measure for about 1/2inch and cut!

3. Cut the blue ones longer than the brown ones
(if you want to have the blue to be outer part of the heart)

4. Hold together with an order of brown - blue - blue - brown
(if you want to have the blue to be outer part of the heart)

5. Fold every single piece of paper together

6. Then staple them!

7. Attach all the hearts to the light with a string

8. VOILA!
There, you have the easiest and prettiest DIY bedhead design

Home Sweet Home for Less ;)

First thing first, I just want to say that I was half surprised and half confused that apparently in the states they do not install any light points. Which means, I gotta buy floor lamps and/or table lamps, and I really feel that that is so inconvenient. For me as an international student, I don't like spending my $$ too much on furniture as I will go back to Indonesia. So anyways, here are the tips to lighten up your space in less boring and CheaP ways.

Well, during the Xmas holiday season, of course we put up a Christmas tree that brightens almost half of the room and becomes a pretty corner decoration. We bought all the tree accessories from 99 cents store which only cost us around $25. The tip is to decide the color scheme of your Christmas tree and it will be just as easy as jewelry shopping. We choose red and silver. Next step is to pick your desirable forms, we like to keep it classy with big ribbons, bells and snowflakes. To me the most brilliant part is to have the candy canes, it comes in 12 pieces (again for only 99cents) and you will end up having the sweetest look on your tree.

It is just so boring to have too many table lamps / floor lamps, right? So, we bought only ONE table lamp for the whole room and make a little cheat by having Christmas tree light to beautify and lighten up the space. For this one, we got it from CVS for less than $5, because it is longer (I think it is 5m long) and easier to use when it comes to decoration.

Twist the light on your bed head and continue along to your vanity mirror, prettier and easier compared to buying a make up lamp. It will also save some space for your vanity table!
