Valentine's Day Sugar Cookies

GUYS, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !!

I used to think that I would be so lonely on this love day of the year being single. But being surrounded with my loved ones, my awesome friends, it is just more than I can ask for.

So here is what I do for them, I make sugar cookies! For the first time fyi :)

Stuff you need to buy:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled, plus more for the work surface
3 tbs cocoa powder (optional)

*For royal icing*
1 lb of icing sugar
5 egg whites, at room temperature

PROCESS !!

1.  Mix sugar, butter, vanilla extract and cocoa powder
(don't have a mixer? I used spoons and it worked well!)

2. Add egg, and whisk slightly

3. Add in flour and whisk or use hands!

4. Roll the cookies dough

5. Decide what shapes you are gonna use

6. Ta-daa, they are ready to get hot in the oven

7. I used wording templates to make it cute
(if you are on a diet, I suggest you skip the royal icing and do this, tastes good too haha)

 FOR ROYAL ICING

1. Mix sugar and egg white then put it in piping bags
(choose your own colors, I went for shades of red/pink and blue!)

2. Start decorating!

Quick tips:
I bought  edible ink marker so you can write your little poetry too ;)

Valentine's Day DIY Hearts Decoration

This Valentine's time of the year I'm not gonna celebrate it with any significant one. Sooo, I will cheer up myself by decorating my bedroom with little hearts. :)

This is super easy and fast, I gotta say that you can do it under 30 mins. All I used for this are from old decoration stuff and used paper. The money I spent for this, was cheaper than a cup of boba haha.

Okay so let's start!

1. All you need.
-Used paper, you can decide your own color scheme.
(I'm not a big fan of pink so I decided to have blue and brown to create a modern rustic feeling.)
-String, to attach the hearts
-Scissors (pen knife would be better)
-Ruller
-Stapler
-Christmas light (perfect timing to reuse it right!)

little secret : i got this blue paper from the inside part of an envelope!

2.  Measure for about 1/2inch and cut!

3. Cut the blue ones longer than the brown ones
(if you want to have the blue to be outer part of the heart)

4. Hold together with an order of brown - blue - blue - brown
(if you want to have the blue to be outer part of the heart)

5. Fold every single piece of paper together

6. Then staple them!

7. Attach all the hearts to the light with a string

8. VOILA!
There, you have the easiest and prettiest DIY bedhead design

Bradbury Building

I feel like Bradbury Building is kind of a surprise.  Coming from outside, the exterior seems just like its surrounding, but when you walk into the building, it is one of those things who give you the WOW and get you gobsmacked.

Fun fact bout it: The final design was done by just a young Architect Draftsman George Wyman.

Every single interior elements complement each other; the beautiful ironwork, brick walls, and terra cotta details. The skylight itself is a brilliant idea to bring natural sunshine into the building, which indirectly connects outside with inside.

Just go check it out at 304 South Broadway Street, in downtown LA. It is now the LAPD office, so make sure to be there before 6, otherwise you will not make it to the inside. And you will thank me later!

love this stair railing detail !
beautiful terra cotta detail in Renaissance style
look up !
iron work everywhereee
letter box and human box, i mean an elevator haha
gotta keep it classy
